2003 Community Design of Merit - Environmental Hillsborough County Planning Commission Project Award: Davis Tract Restoration Project, Hillsborough County (105-acre habitat restoration along the eastern shoreline of Tampa Bay)
2002 Future of the Region - 1st in Environment Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council Project Award: Palmetto Preserve, Manatee County (First ever public private partnership for habitat restoration; Scheda completed planning design and construction management while coordinating multiple project partners. Sandy Scheda and Thomas Ries planned and coordinated the volunteer planting effort.)
2002 Future of the Region - Honorable Mention in Environment Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council Project Award: Joan M. Durante Park Wetland Restoration, Sarasota County (This project exemplifies a success story benefiting environment and community. The waterfront location of Longboat Key was ideal for wetland restoration and enhancement as well as innovative sub-aquatic vegetation transplantation.)
